Nobody can predict as to how the career of an actor or actress might be in Kollywood. The film industry is famous for its extreme fortunes and artistes who are on top might find themselves down and out within no time; likewise, artistes who remain largely unknown, might get famous within a span of few months like it has happened in the case of Sivakarthikeyan recently.
Even the heroes with whom Santhanam has shared perfect on-screen chemistry by staring in successful films in the past are said to be apprehensive of teaming up with him again as the comedian’s reputation has been taking a big beating of late. The criticism about his comments in films, which had till now been murmured, appears to have come out in the open now.
Producer Rajan didn’t mince his words when he came down hard on Santhanam for his anti-women dialogues in the upcoming film Endrendrum Punnagai while taking part in the audio-launch of a film titled Vizha. The fact that Goundamani, whom Santhanam considers as his guru, and Vadivelu are on the comeback trail appears to have upset Santhanam hugely.
It may not be a big surprise if producers start courting the veterans Goundamani and Vadivelu to star in their films in future instead of approaching Santhanam!
