All the three major films which are scheduled to hit before and on Deepavali have been witnessing brisk and heavy pre-release booking in theatres, it is reported. Ajith, Vishal and Karthi would be the ‘Deepavali heroes’ this year as their films are releasing this weekend.
Ajith takes the first plunge into the box-office pool as his Vishnuvardhan-directed Arrambam opposite Nayanthara is scheduled to release the day-after-tomorrow (i.e. on Thursday, the 31stOctober). Pandianadu, Vishal’s home-production and directed by Suseenthiran, is releasing on Deepavali (02nd November) along with M. Rajesh’s Karthi-Kajal Aggarwal starrer All in All Azhagu Raja.
Tickets for first week for all the three films have already been sold out, it is reliably learnt. This has warmed the hearts of the producers and distributors of these films who had been waiting for a long time to release their films on Deepavali which is a huge festival for Kollywood. Good pre-release publicity in respect of all these three films has ensured that the audience’s interest in these scripts haven’t waned a bit.
Ajith’s Arrambam is to release in as many as 30 screens in Chennai city alone much the same as Rajesh’s All in All Azhagu Raja. The advance booking for Pandianadu opens only tomorrow; from the audience’s craze to watch the Vishal-Lakshmi Menon starrer, it now appears that the film’s tickets for one week in theatres would be sold out within minutes after the bookings open today.
