Reports emanating from Mumbai say that an abortive attempt to attack actress Shruti Haasan was made by an unknown person at her multi-storeyed apartment in Mumbai where she is staying alone.
Shruti had earlier been living with her father Kamal Haasan but has now moved to Mumbai after signing up to star in a few Hindi films. Sarika, Shurti’s mother and a national award-winning actress, is also staying in Mumbai with her younger daughter Akshara Haasan.
It is said that Shruti, a courageous girl, managed to blunt the attack while the person who tried to attack her managed to escape. as reported by the news agency when Shruti opened the door to her apartment last morning, an identified stalker caught hold of her wrist and pushed her into the house, and he attempted to strangle her neck. Shruti hit back and in the process, the unidentified person’s hand got stuck between the door-lock.
The injured stalker managed to escape while Shruti chose not to file a formal complaint with the police, it is further reported. It is also said that Khushboo, who came to know of the incident, has tweeted a message consoling Shruti Haasan. Shruti is yet to go public about the incident.
