Vidya Balan has been chosen as the face of Bobby Jasoos, the movie that will be produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha.
Vidya Balan is one of the most versatile faces in the industry today and she keeps experimenting with roles, delivering each one to perfection. She has never charted the sleuth territory and with this one, she gets to do that as well.
Vidya says that the concept of a female detective, which is very rare, attracted her. Add to that the fact that the script was done by Sanyuktha Chawla and that the movie will be helmed by Samar Shaikh. Vidya could not have asked for a better crew to work with. As far as the producers are concerned, Sahil and Dia have said that the character of Bobby Jasoos and Vidya’s personality are similar in more ways than one, making her the optimum choice for the role.
The duo have been working on three scripts simultaneously in their bid to deliver entertainment to the Indian audience that can be enjoyed by all. Bobby Jasoos is an effort in that direction. It will release in the summer of 2014.
