Kamal to release digital trailer of Ninaithale Inikkum
The old classic Ninaithale Inikkum
(1979), directed by K. Balachander and starring legends superstar
Rajinikanth and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan together in one of their
many combined hits in the late seventies and early eighties, is set for a
‘comeback’ to please and energize fans of both the stars and those who
loved M.S. Viswanathan’s mesmerizing numbers in the film.
The 34-year old film has now gone
through latest technology and has been ‘modified’ in cinemascope version
and in DTS sound system. The modified version is set for a grand
re-release later this month. The lyrics are penned by the late and
legendary Kannadasan while M.S. Viswanathan has scored the film’s music.
The film was shot majorly in Singapore. The songs are a huge hit even
with today’s youths.
Author Sujatha, who is no more with us,
penned the dialogues of the film directed by Balachander. Rajini’s
cigarette-tossing act was one of the most loved sequences in the film. A
grand function is to be held at the Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai on
Friday (13th September) to commemorate the release of the film where in
the digital trailer would be released by Kamal Haasan.
Keyaar, the newly-elected president of
the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC), Ameer, president of FEFSI and
Vikraman, president of the Directors’ Association would be among others
present at the venue when Kamal would release the trailer of the film.
K. Balachander and M.S. Viswanathan are also expected to take part in
the trailer launch.
