Undoubtedly, the best trailer so far in the year has got to be that of Ram Leela. As soon as it was released, the internet went gaga over it. People gave it a thumbs-up instantly and prepared themselves for an epic in the form of the movie.
The trailer reeks of epic in every scene. It is so masterfully crafted that it is evident that only an artist of the stature of Sanjay Leela Bhansali could visualize it in such a grand scale and implement it so beautifully. SLB too agrees that a lot of effort has gone into the making of the trailer. He spent hours after hours in the editing room till perfection was attained.
This will also be the first movie of SLB that will feature violence on such an enormous scale. Earlier, the only violence in his movies was that of a slap. His action director, Shyam Kaushal used to be utterly displeased at his talents not being given a chance. With Ram Leela, whose subtitle reads, ‘Goliyon ki Raas Leela’, he has had ample opportunities to channel his talents in the right direction.
SLB has said that the film will mark his return to the genre of colorful films likeDevdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and a departure from dark movies like Guzaarish.
