Antony D’Souza wants to remake Blue
Director Antony D’Souza, who is awaiting the release of his next movie Boss
starring Akshay Kumar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mithun Chakraborty, Ronit Roy,
and Shiv Pandit, has said that he would love to make a remake of his
movie – Blue.
This comes as a surprise as sequels and remakes are made on successful or cult movies. Blue
was neither. It was slammed by critics. The audience shunned the
theaters in which the movie was running. However, Antony feels he has
discovered the loopholes in the film which led to its doom. The movie
starred Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta, and Sanjay Dutt and
revolved around underwater adventures.
Antony admits that the script failed the
movie. He feels that he did not pack in too many emotions in the movie,
something that Indians look for in a movie. It had surfaced in the
media that a sequel or remake of Blue is in the pipeline. Antony
went on record to say that he had revealed no such thing and it was a
hoax. However, he does not rule out making one. All he needs is a script
and hopefully not one like last time.
